S1E26 - What Was Our Cover Story?

The Good Neighbors put together a plan to both capture the monster AND avoid the Bureau at the same time. They separate, attempting to tackle multiple objectives at once. To get things started, they ingratiate themselves with the train staff and disable the Bureau’s most useful tool. In doing so, they can’t help but draw attention to themselves.

The gang has some tension building as their collective inability to delve into each other's secrets has led to some trust issues. Putting them aside to deal with immediate problems, they catch a lead on where the monster and the Bureau are heading.

The gang splits up when June and Flint encounter Ezra following the sound of glass breaking. When June goes on the offensive, only more questions arise and danger follows, further splitting up the team as June ends up in the "Puppet Room." Beck unleashes some new, yet chaotic magic to help, and Cascius attempts to connect with Gert once again.

The Good Neighbors agree to split up and meet at a local hotel called the Lovely Night Inn, where some supposed monster activity is underway.  Once they arrive, June and Cascius attempt to provide a cover story ahead of time to the manager, Cleo, to explain why she may hear strange noises in the night. With a room of their own, the mysterious activities begins as it becomes unclear who actually works at the hotel.
